This work was made by the great ceramic artist Sakaida Kakiemon 13th (1906-1982) himself, who, together with his father, the 12th generation, restored the once-decaying "Nigote" style, boasting the greatest skill of any Kakiemon in history, and who built the foundation for the prosperity of modern Kakiemon. It is a work of outstanding range and full of dignity. The Yukimochi camellia pattern is painted on the beautiful, moist milky white base that is unique to Nigote, and the design, which greatly demonstrates the originality of the 13th generation, draws the viewer in. The traditional base and modern design harmonize to add color to the modern era. This is an extremely wonderful piece that truly expresses the beliefs of the 13th generation.
