For 94 years, we have continued to pursue beauty with a magnificent heart in the great outdoors surrounded by mountains.
It has continued to be loved by many people.
We carry carefully selected items that represent Japan.
We will protect history and tradition, continue to explore the "world of beauty" that changes with the passage of time, and continue to convey the essence of beauty with an unchanging spirit.
Our store is located in the lush Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, known as the "navel of Japan."
Our store has been an antiques shop in Nishiwaki since the beginning of the Showa era, and has been in business for 94 years (the current store opened in 1988). My grandfather started the business, and I am now the third generation owner.
As time passed, we began dealing in contemporary ceramics by famous artists, and we opened our store 14 years ago in order to introduce better products to a wider range of customers.
In addition to the products listed on our website, the store also carries many other products, so you can see for yourself how good they are.
We regularly display works by modern and contemporary masters such as Tomimoto Kenkichi, Kawai Kanjiro, Kitaoji Rosanjin, Arakawa Toyozo, Kaneshige Toyo, and Okabe Mineo, as well as works by Living National Treasures.
It's about an hour's drive from Osaka or Kobe, so be sure to stop by during your drive.
I travel to Tokyo and Nagoya once a month, and if you contact me in advance you can see my works in person.
Many customers feel like they want to see it in their hands, and so they come all the way to Nishiwaki to see it.
