First generation Yasokichi Tokuda
Born in Kutani in 1873. In 1931, his lion figurine was purchased by the Imperial Household Ministry. He is still highly regarded today as a leading figure in the field of Ko-Kutani Isai-ga. In 1953, he was recognized as an Important Intangible Cultural Property of Ishikawa Prefecture. He passed away in 1956.
