Toshu Yamamoto
Born in Bizen, Okayama Prefecture in 1906. In 1952, he interacted with Kitaoji Rosanjin and Isamu Noguchi, who visited Ibe. In 1959, his work "Hitasuki" won the Grand Prix at the Brussels World Exposition. In 1987, he was recognized as an Important Intangible Cultural Property (Living National Treasure) for "Bizen ware." He passed away in 1994.
