Born in 1950 in Kanagawa Prefecture. The eldest son of the second generation Takeharu Kawase.
At the age of 18, he began making pottery under his grandfather, the first Takeharu, and his father, the second Takeharu.
Since holding a solo exhibition at the contemporary ceramic art "Kandori", he has received high praise at numerous exhibitions. In 2014, he received the Japan Ceramic Association Gold Award, and has also successfully planned a commemorative exhibition at the Ginza "Wako Hall".
