25826 12th generation Raku Koinyu (Brushed sake bottle)

He was born as the eldest son of Keinyu. In 1871, he took the name of the 12th Kizaemon. In 1919, he shaved his head and retired, taking the name Koinyu. Koinyu took over as head of the family at the age of 15, but it was a time of political change in the late Edo and early Meiji periods, when traditional culture, including the tea ceremony, was in decline, and he and his father, Keinyu, struggled day after day.
Hironyu's style did not change significantly throughout his life, and many of his works are rounded and gentle, with a unique decorative use of the spatula.
