Kinjo Jiro has been involved in the pottery industry since his youth, studying under Arakaki Eitoku, known as the master of Tsuboya. After the war, he built a kiln in Tsuboya, Naha City, and worked to protect and develop Tsuboya ware under the guidance of Hamada Shoji and Kawai Kanjiro. In 1985, he was recognized as a Living National Treasure for his work on "Ryukyu Pottery." This is a cute small vase with a fish design, which is synonymous with the artist.
