The Miwa family has established a top position in the world of Hagi ware and continues to enjoy great acclaim and popularity. This is an outstanding work by the 11th generation Miwa Kyusetsu (Jusetsu), who was the younger brother of the 10th generation Miwa Kyusetsu (Kyuwa), who was recognized as an intangible cultural asset of Hagi ware, and inherited the Miwa family after his brother retired, and was recognized as a Living National Treasure of Hagi ware.
