After wandering around the country, Togo Kobayashi arrived on the Korean Peninsula, where he was fascinated by the Joseon Dynasty pottery that had already been forgotten there, and after studying excavated pottery fragments, he succeeded in recreating it. In 1981, he revived the Taishu Kiln on Tsushima Island, and has produced many masterpieces of Joseon Dynasty replicas, including Ido, Kohiki, Okukoryo, Mishima, and Hakeme.
