In 1957, he became a part-time lecturer at the sculpture department of Kyoto City University of Arts (now Kyoto City University of Arts) and began producing black pottery pieces for the first time.
1969: "Yagi Kazuo Works Collection" (Kyuryudo) is published.
1972: "Kazuo Yagi Solo Exhibition" held at Isetan in Tokyo and released a series of books
In 1978, he exhibited his works "Haiku I - XI" at the "FICA78" exhibition held at the Grand Palais in Paris, entitled "Kazuo Yagi Ceramic Sculpture Exhibition," and received high praise.
