Ceramic history 1918: Born in Kyoto as the eldest son of ceramist Yagi Kazuso 1937: Graduated from the sculpture department of Kyoto Municipal School of Art and Crafts 1947: Published the statement of purpose for the "Young Ceramists Group" 1948: Formed the "Soudeisha" group with Suzuki Osamu, Yamada Hikaru, Matsui Misuke, and Kanae Tetsuo 1957: Became a part-time lecturer in the sculpture department of Kyoto City University of Fine Arts (now Kyoto City University of Arts) This year began to create black pottery works for the first time 1969: "Yagi Kazuo Collected Works" (Kyuryudo) was published 1972: "Yagi Kazuo Solo Exhibition" was held at Isetan Tokyo, and a series of books was released 1978: Exhibited his works "Haiku I - XI" at the "FICA78" held at the Grand Palais in Paris, titled "Yagi Kazuo Ceramic Sculpture Exhibition", and received high praise. "60th Birthday Celebration of Kazuo Yagi Exhibition" will be held at Isetan in Tokyo
