This is a work by Raku Ryonyū, the ninth master of the Raku family, one of the Ten Craftsmen of the Sen family. He was active in the late Edo period. His childhood name was Sojiro, later he was called Kichizaemon, his given name was Kikōji, and Ryonyū was his pen name. He was known as the master craftsman who revived the Raku family.
