This is a work by the 4th generation Kamide Kizan, a master craftsman of Kutani. He inherited the "Komon style" invented by his father, the 3rd generation Kamide Kizan, and incorporated his own sensibilities to further develop the 4th generation Kamide Kizan's work into something more elaborate and colorful. Although it is common for Kutani ware to be divided into different tasks, the 4th generation honed his skills on the potter's wheel and created a base that he was satisfied with before beginning to paint. The patterns are painted without any gaps, meticulously and accurately without the slightest deviation. The more you look at it, the more breathtaking the masterpiece becomes.
