This sake bottle was made by Raku Keinyu, the 11th head of the Raku family, one of the Ten Craftsmen of the Sen family and a highly acclaimed master craftsman. From the age of 55 until his death at age 86, he used a seal known as the "Byakuraku In" (retirement seal). Keinyu had a wide range of work, not limited to tea bowls, but also plates, bowls, kaiseki utensils, and even sencha utensils. Keinyu's style favored the artificiality of nonkou and ryonyu, and his decorations were also exquisite. This sake bottle is also decorated with a vivid green glaze and gold leaf that will awaken your eyes, making it a superb item that well displays Keinyu's characteristics. There are two repairs on the box.
