A work by the 4th generation Kamide Kizan, a master craftsman of Kutani. He inherited the "Komon style" invented by his father, the 3rd generation Kamide Kizan, and incorporated his own sensibilities to further develop the work of the 4th generation Kamide Kizan, which is more elaborate and uses many colors. Although it is common for Kutani ware to be divided into different tasks, the 4th generation honed his skills on the potter's wheel and created a base that he was satisfied with before painting it.
