Nakazato is the grandfather of Living National Treasure Muan Nakazato, who revived the old Karatsu of the Momoyama period, and the father of Aian Nakazato, a member of the Japan Art Academy, who showed a new direction in Karatsu with his modern decoration. He has also been producing works using a Chinese technique, which was not used in Karatsu.
The works are highly figurative, and the originality of the fourteenth generation has been added to the copying of Chinese Song dynasty pots in color and detail. On the other hand, the traditional well tea bowls are characterized by their elegant style, reminiscent of the tea bowls made by the late Mu-an.
