Shimizu Rokubei VI, who pioneered many new glazes through his own studies, created “Ko-ki-rasai” in his later years when he reached his 70th birthday, based on his originality and artistry. The “Ume” painted with his solid modeling ability, pale and glossy glaze, and brilliant brush strokes shines brightly and matches perfectly with the calm and serene form of the piece.
