This is a work by the 13th Sakaida Kakiemon, a great potter in the world of modern Arita pottery, who made a tremendous contribution to the revival and further development of modern Kakiemon, and who, while pursuing the classical style of successive Kakiemon generations, succeeded in reviving the superb technique of "Nigote," which is said to be the ultimate art that was lost in the mid-Edo period. On the ring-shaped vessel, a floral and bird pattern is elegantly painted, making use of the beauty of the white space.
