This work was created by Kitaoji Rosanjin, a great master of the arts who left behind numerous masterpieces and legends. Rosanjin's bold glazing is a technique that no other artist can ever imitate, and the overwhelming artistry felt throughout the piece is truly moving. Rosanjin was twice approached about being named a Living National Treasure for his Oribe ware (he refused both times), demonstrating his overwhelming talent for the Oribe technique.
