This charming, rounded jade incense holder features vibrant gold and other colored lacquering for a luxurious look. He studied under Tokuizumi II, Kusube Yaichi, and Shimizu Rokubei VI, and was given the kiln name "Shisui" by the 509th abbot of Daitokuji Temple, Zuihoin, Saisumi Yoshiguchi Keido. This work is by Nishimura Tokuizumi, the third generation master of Shisui Kiln, a traditional Shimizu ware craftsman who primarily creates pottery with auspicious motifs and gold inlays. The base is stamped with the name "Tokuizumi." This beautiful piece, beautifully finished with its elegant and refined form, has a wonderful atmosphere. There is one missing piece.
