This piece is attractive for its vibrant blue-glazed color, reminiscent of the "Blue Glaze Flat Vase." This "blue glaze" refers to the beautiful blue-green color often seen in Turkish ceramics.

Kanjiro has been researching various glazes at his own studio, Shokei Kiln, and the vibrant colours of his glazes are one of the main features of his work.
