This is a work by ceramic artist Sadamitsu Sugimoto, who at the young age of 33 established a kiln in Shigaraki and received instruction from Daitoku-ji Temple's Master Tachibana Daiki. His works are incredibly popular and highly acclaimed both in Japan and internationally, and he has held solo exhibitions in numerous countries around the world to date.
