1940 Born in Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, as the eldest son of Miwa Kyusetsu XI (Jusetsu).
1967 Completed the Ceramics major at Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School.
His first work, "Hanako's Elegant Life (High Heels)," was created.
1974 Established his own kiln in Uwa-no, Hagi City.
2003 Succeeded as Miwa Kyusetsu XII.
2007 "Miwa Kyusetsu Ceramics Exhibition for the 25th Anniversary of Friendship between Shandong Province, China and Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan" (Shandong Provincial Museum, Shandong Province, China).
2009 "Ceramics: The Fusion of Love and Death - Miwa Kyusetsu XII Exhibition" (Mitsukoshi Étoile, Paris, France, and other venues).
2011 Received the Japan Ceramic Society Gold Award.
2019 Changed his artist name to "Ryukisei."
