This is one of the last works by Tokuda Yasokichi III, a Living National Treasure of Kutani ware. It bears the "Yasokichi" mark in gold characters. The magnificent glaze flow, characteristic of Tokuda Yasokichi III, and the translucent, glass-like cobalt blue are further accentuated by the highly refined form of this piece. The cobalt blue and white gradation is breathtakingly beautiful. A similar work is also featured in a catalog.
