"Do what others don't." Goro Suzuki is a ceramic artist who creates original, unconventional works. Suzuki began making pottery at the age of 16 and quickly made a name for himself. At 28, he visited the United States, where he encountered pottery as an art form.

This is how the "Goro style" was cultivated, producing works with a free sensibility while still mastering artisan techniques. Afterward, while pursuing Momoyama pottery, he didn't merely imitate it but continued to create original techniques. He also produced enormous plates and jars, as if challenging the limits of the craft.

In these works, one can see Suzuki's strong dedication, his reliable skills, and his playful spirit, all rooted in his deep understanding of clay, as he enjoys working with the material.
