"Do what others don't." This is the motto of Goro Suzuki, a ceramic artist who creates unconventional and original works. Suzuki began potting at the age of 16 and quickly made a name for himself. At 28, he traveled to the United States, where he encountered ceramics as an art form.

This is how Goro's distinctive style was cultivated – a style that embraces a free spirit while mastering traditional craftsmanship. Subsequently, while pursuing Momoyama ceramics, he didn't merely imitate them but continuously developed original techniques. He also created monumental plates and jars, as if challenging the limits of the medium.
