Born as the eldest son of Kiyoshi Suzuki, a disciple of Kenkichi Tomimoto, a leading figure in the modern Japanese ceramics world, Soshi Suzuki was himself tutored by Kenkichi Tomimoto.

Soshi Suzuki's works are characterized by outstanding realism and brushwork, comparable to, if not surpassing, that of Norihiro Fujimoto, a Living National Treasure and fellow disciple of Kenkichi Tomimoto, and his unique gold and silver enamels shine brilliantly.

His combinations of familiar birds and seasonal flowers are reminiscent of excellent Japanese paintings.
