The second Miura Chikusen was born in Kyoto as the eldest son of the first Miura Chikusen. His given name was Keitaro (later Chikusen), and his artist names were Haniokaru and Saigetsuan. In 1915, he succeeded to the name of the second Miura Chikusen. Highly talented in creation, he studied under his father and perfected the art of making sencha utensils. Though highly acclaimed as a master craftsman at a young age, he died prematurely.
