26464 Living National Treasure Tokuda Yaokichi III Gai-sai Vase “Eternal River”

Height 25.4cm
Diameter 24.2cm

This is a work from the final years of Tokuda Yasojiro III, a Kutani ware Living National Treasure. Marked with the "Kanmoji no Yasojiro" seal.
The magnificent flow of the glaze and the glass-like, translucent cobalt blue, which are also characteristic of Tokuda Yasojiro III, are further accentuated by this highly refined form.
The gradient of cobalt blue and yellow is so beautiful it feels as though you could be drawn into it.
