This is a work by Takahiro Kondo, a ceramic artist whose grandfather was Yuzo Kondo, a Living National Treasure for "blue and white porcelain," and whose father is Jun Kondo, a master craftsman representing Kyoto. In his early days, Takahiro Kondo produced the traditional blue and white porcelain works of the Kondo family, but later moved away from practical tableware and continued to produce avant-garde, abstract works.
