"Muchaboshi" - There is an episode in which a geisha advised Handeishi to cancel his trip to Western Europe because the stars were not in his favor this year, but when he refused to listen, she called him "Muchaboshi," and the nickname was given to him for fun.
This water jar is one of the very few that Handeishi produced.
The boldness of this piece, unconstrained by Handeishi's style and conventions, is also enjoyable, and the autumn grasses are freely expressed in the carvings and iron paintings, and the kiln marks on the body are part of the magnificent scenery, showing the deep generosity of the artist in cherishing the natural scenery given by the kiln, giving it a charm that cannot be expressed anywhere else. The various scenery matches the rustic surface of the piece well, and it is full of elegant flavor.
