[Nishibata Masashi] Born on February 24, 1948. Started making pottery in 1969. Received the Encouragement Award at the Hyogo Prefectural Exhibition in 1976. Selected for the first time at the Japan Crafts Association Kinki Exhibition in 1978. Selected for the first time at the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition in 1986. Received the President's Award at the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition in 1989. Selected for the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition. Received the Encouragement Award at the Tea Ceremony Art Exhibition in 1990. Received the Grand Prize at the Tea Ceremony Art Exhibition in 1991. Held a solo exhibition at Mitsukoshi Main Store in 1994.
