This extremely rare Karatsu sake bottle was produced in 1966 at the kiln of Nakazato Muan (a Living National Treasure) and is one of the rarest Karatsu sake bottles in Koyamako ware.
The opaque white glaze is applied to the unique, free-flowing and generous form, and the glaze has a very mellow, blending tone that blends well with the clay, creating an exquisite contrast.This is an exceptional piece that is both well-made and a joy to look at, and it is clear that Nakazato Muan Kiln has put a special effort into this piece.
