This work was created by Kyohei Fujita (1921-2004), a master craftsman who studied under Toshichi Iwata, established his own field of glass craft with decorative boxes made of colored glass mixed with gold leaf, and became the first glass craftsman to receive the Order of Culture. He made his name known as "FUJITA of the world."

This hand-blown glass vase is called "Dawn Clouds." The beautiful shape of the compote-shaped vase features floating gold-red glass clouds, which are covered in glittering gold paint, creating a fantastical scene.
