Kyohei Fujita studied metal engraving at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts and then mastered glass art in Italy. He established a unique style of glass art in Japan and has been recognized worldwide, receiving a succession of honours including Member of the Japan Art Academy, Person of Cultural Merit and the Order of Culture. This piece is a highly acclaimed Venice piece, which is his forte. His technique of elevating the delicate shading of the work into a highly refined masterpiece is truly a miracle.
