Born in Kanazawa in 1935 as the third generation potter Baizan.

In 1955, he dropped out of Kanazawa College of Art and studied cooking and Rosanjin's pottery at Nakajima in Ginza. In 1969, he was a fellow at the Rockefeller Foundation and conducted comparative research on Japanese and American ceramics.

1982: "ART and/or CRAFT - Decoration Today - USA, JAPAN" exhibition.

In 1993, he received the Minister of Education's Art Encouragement Prize at the exhibition "Exploring the Present through Tokyo-yaki and Metaceramics."

His works are rich in literary quality and are filled with poetry. At first glance, they may appear difficult to understand, and his conscientious expression of his sense of duty and responsibility as an artist may sometimes appear combative, but this is also said to be the true charm of his works, as they produce works that are so imaginative.

This product is impressive in size and has a presence that stands out in a large space, so it seems to match both domestically and internationally.
