Kyohei Fujita studied metal engraving at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts and then mastered glass art in Italy. He established a unique style of glass art in Japan and has been recognized worldwide, receiving a succession of honours including Member of the Japan Art Academy, Person of Cultural Merit and the Order of Culture. This piece is one of his greatest strengths and has been highly praised. His technique of elevating the piece to a highly refined masterpiece through the expression of delicate shading is truly a miracle.
