This work was given to us by a collector in Yasugi, Kanjiro's hometown. The owner had acted as a matchmaker for Kanjiro. They remained in contact until his later years, and the photograph was carefully preserved by pasting it in paper covering it. It was also exhibited at the "Muneyoshi Yanagi Folk Crafts and Masters Exhibition" to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the founding of the Fukushima Minpo Newspaper, and is a masterpiece that was also featured on the poster. A piece of washi paper with the exhibition number written on it is attached to the piece.
