This is a work by Kuroki Kuniaki, a master of contemporary glass craftsmanship who expresses the beauty of diverse traditions such as the heritage of historical beauty, the romance of folk tales, and the tea ceremony through glass. In 1991, the artist was selected as the first national "contemporary master" in the field of glass craftsmanship. This work is a three-eared vase (flower vase) from his masterpiece "Korin." It is a truly fantastical work that expresses the world of Ogata Korin, a master of the Rinpa school, in a contemporary way through glass, making full use of techniques such as layering of colors, inlay, and gold and platinum leaf. It is a magnificent masterpiece that is typical of an artist who has the philosophy of "deepening the traditional beauty of Japan in areas related to history, romance, nature, and culture."
