Born in 1962, he is the second son of Imaemon 13. In 1985, he graduated from the Department of Crafts, Interior and Industrial Design at Musashino Art University. In 1988, he studied under Suzuki Osamu. In 1990, he joined the family business under Imaemon 13. In 2002, he took on the name Imaemon 14. Imaizumi Imaemon 14 is developing modern Nabeshima pottery with works that incorporate platinum coloring while still focusing on the family's traditional "Iro Nabeshima" technique, and developing a technique called "sumihajiki."
