He has inherited the traditional Kakiemon style into the modern era, and has further evolved the muddy style established by his predecessor to produce wonderful works with outstanding depiction and high sense. This is a work by the 14th generation Sakaida Kakiemon, a leading figure who has made great achievements, including being designated a Living National Treasure for Arita ware colored porcelain.

The "Juzudama Shidzukusamon" (Purple dew pattern) is a very popular painting theme, with light, flowing brush strokes and a clean, unobtrusive color scheme on a milky white, opaque base, and is painted with a bright, beautiful expression. It is an exquisite piece with a perfectly balanced shape, vivid, realistic painting, and dense painting with beautiful white space.

The works of the Juyondai porcelain wares, which carry the 400-year history of Arita, continue to enjoy ever-increasing acclaim and will no doubt continue to receive much attention in the future.
