Born in Gifu Prefecture in 1941. Studied at the Gifu Prefectural Ceramic Testing Laboratory. Studied under the fifth generation Kato Kobei. Awarded the Asahi Ceramic Art Exhibition, the highest award at the Tokai Traditional Crafts Exhibition, and many other awards. Holder of Tajimi City Intangible Cultural Property. Member of the Japan Crafts Association.



Tamaki Yasuo created Aka Shino ware, which is said to have been created with great difficulty in achieving the closest possible red color, as well as innovative Shino and Kiseto ware, featuring beautiful gradations and curved shapes that were unique to Tamaki Yasuo, who aspired to be a graphic designer.In 1980, he was awarded the Japan Ceramic Association Award, which is given to the most active artist in the ceramic art world.
