This is a work by the Living National Treasure of Kutani ware, Tokuda Yasokichi III, in his final years. It bears the seal "Yasokichi in gold lettering." The magnificent flow of the glaze, a characteristic of Tokuda Yasokichi III, and the transparent cobalt blue like glass are further accentuated by the highly refined shape of this piece. The gradation of cobalt blue and yellow is so beautiful that it is almost captivating.
