He established a unique style of glass art in Japan and has been recognized worldwide, receiving a succession of honours including Member of the Japan Art Academy, Person of Cultural Merit and the Order of Culture. This piece is a highly acclaimed Venetian piece, which is his forte. His technique in elevating the piece to a highly refined masterpiece with delicate shading is truly a miracle of skill.
