Goro Suzuki was born in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture. He studied pottery making at the Seto Ceramics Training School and distinguished himself by being selected for the Nitten Exhibition for the first time in 1962, after which he went on to win numerous awards. While pursuing Momoyama pottery using artisanal wheel techniques and natural materials, he continues to produce highly original works such as "Hawaii Oribe" and "Los Oribe", which are not mere imitations.
