This is a work by Jun Isezaki. Making full use of his curiosity about ancient Bizen and the sense of form he has cultivated through sculpture, his mature ceramic techniques convey the dignity of a veteran artist. He uses climbing kilns and medieval anagama kilns depending on the piece, and is particular about firing with split pine wood, without using electric or gas kilns.
