Born in 1962, he is the second son of Imaemon 13. In 1985, he graduated from the Department of Crafts, Interior and Industrial Design at Musashino Art University. In 1988, he studied under Suzuki Osamu. In 1990, he joined the family business under Imaemon 13. In 2002, he took on the name Imaemon 14. Imaizumi Imaemon 14 is developing modern Nabeshima pottery with works that focus on the traditional "Iro Nabeshima" technique but also develop the technique of "sumihajiki."

This decorative bowl is decorated in red, the color of special occasions, and is decorated with a yoraku, an ornament favored by the nobility of ancient India. The character for "longevity" is inscribed on the inside, making it an auspicious vessel and a decorative bowl.
