1900-1970 Ceramic artist from the Taisho to Showa eras. Born on February 4, 1900. The eldest son of Ito Tozan II. Learned ceramics from his grandfather and father, and was first selected for the Teiten exhibition in 1929, and won a special prize in 1933. In 1938 he followed in his father's footsteps and took on the name of the third generation. After the war he was active in the Nitten exhibition and served as a judge. He passed away on March 6, 1970. He was 70 years old. He was from Kyoto and graduated from Kyoto Municipal School of Arts and Crafts. His real name was Shinsuke.
