He has won the Grand Prize twice and the Excellence Prize at the Asahi Ceramic Art Exhibition, and continues to accumulate other brilliant achievements, including the Mino Ceramic Art Grand Prize. He is currently a representative artist who leads Mino contemporary ceramics as a holder of Gifu Prefecture's Important Intangible Cultural Property.
