Shimizu Kosho (real name: Shimizu Mutsuji, January 3, 1911 - May 6, 1999) was a Kegon sect monk. He was born in Soza Village, Shikama County, Hyogo Prefecture (present-day Himeji City). He became the 207th and 208th chief priest of Todaiji Temple and the head of the Kegon sect, and carried out the Great Buddha Hall repair work in the Showa period.
He is known for his unique paintings, calligraphy, and ceramics. Since around 1963, he has been creating unique small Buddha statues called "Dorobutsu." He calls himself Dorobutsuan.
It is a magnificent piece worthy of the name "Unrivaled." This piece is housed in an Ando box.
